You’ve Come to the Right Place:

Our clinicians are licensed psychologists, post-doctorate fellows, pre-doctoral interns, and/or doctoral- or masters-level clinicians. All of our unlicensed clinicians are supervised by one or more licensed clinical psychologist on staff. Services may be available in other languages. Please view our list of services below.​

THERAPY

Individual, family, and group therapy is available. While we specialize in providing trauma-focused therapeutic services, we also cover a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, emotion dysregulation, and self-growth. We offer low-cost options so that our services are accessible to all and all of our treatment services are provided on a sliding scale based on income. Therapy is offered in both virtual and in-person settings.

COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES

We also offer community based therapeutic services. Therapy is provided by our clinicians to various community-based programs throughout San Diego. We currently provide therapy for domestic violence shelters, homeless shelters, transitional housing programs, and youth programs at various locations.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS

Neuropsychological and comprehensive psychological testing and educational assessments are available. We also offer a wide range of forensic evaluations listed under our Forensic Services

SUPERVISED VISITATION

IVAT clinicians are able to provide supervised/court-ordered visitations, as well as re-unification therapy.

PARENTING SKILLS

Our providers offer individual therapy that can be tailored to train clients in parental skills in fulfillment of court-ordered therapies. Please contact us if you have any further questions.

GROUP THERAPY

IVAT clinicians facilitate group therapy on a range of topics, including, but not limited to: parenting experiences, teen relationships, first-responder support, and trauma support.
